2019 Sequatchie County Fair gets under way in Dunlap

Douglas Stafford won Best of Show for some softball-size onions.

Aug. 21, 2019 – The Sequatchie County Fair is currently going strong. It opened today with about 30 people attending “Senior Day,” with live gospel music scheduled for 6-9:00 tonight.

Abigail Shipley's painting won Best of Show in the 4th-6th grade children's art division.

Exhibits of quilts, garden produce, house plants, children's art, canned produce, and hundreds of photographs are all free to the public this year, and fair organizers are encouraging families to “look out for special guests, Pumpkin the Cow and friends.”

The scheduled for this week is:


5-9 p.m. Exhibits open to the public.

6-9 p.m. Live gospel music.


10 a.m.-9 p.m. Exhibits open to the public.

7-9 p.m. Karaoke.


10 a.m.-9 p.m. BABS Club Demonstration Day

10 a.m. Senior Rummy Tournament.

3:30-9 p.m. Jill's Kids live entertainment.


10 a.m.-9 p.m. Exhibits open to the public.

11 a.m.-noon SCHS Band.

Noon-2 p.m. Sequatchie's Got Talent Show (children & youth).

2 p.m. Cast Iron vs. Insta-pot Cook-off.

3 p.m. Pick TN Products Cook-off.

4-6 p.m. Cornhole Tournament.

7-9 p.m. Sequatchie's Got Talent Show (adult division).
