Senior Walk kicks off graduation week for Class of 2019

May 15, 2019 – The Class of 2019 marched through the halls of all three county schools this morning, as the graduating seniors of Sequatchie County High School kicked off Senior Week with the traditional Senior Walk.

Younger students applauded and slapped hands with the soon-to-be graduates, as the long line in flowing purple gowns swept through the schools.

Seniors were led by Class President Amelia Greer. Timothy Sleeper brought up the rear in a wheelchair, carrying a hand-lettered sign saying, “If I can do it, you can too!”

The annual Senior Walk is an inspiration to younger students, encouraging them to stay in school, work hard at their studies, and some day be one of those purple-robed graduates striding confidently through the halls they're leaving behind.

Although the numbers remain fluid until Commencement, SCHS Class of 2019 currently stands at 160 seniors graduating.

The schedule for the remainder of this week is:
