Residence on Signal Mountain destroyed by fire Saturday

March 18, 2019 – Fire destroyed a home on Signal Mountain Saturday night, March 16. Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) responded to a 911 call at 8:15 p.m. EDT made by the homeowner reporting a house fire at 508 Grayson Way.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found fire through the roof of the home.

Walden's Ridge Emergency Services responded to the scene for mutual aid.

Lone Oak Fire Chief Dana Clift reported the home was a total loss, but no injuries were reported.

According to the Tri-State Mutual Aid Association, the cause of the fire is as yet undetermined and will be investigated by the Sequatchie County Sheriff's Office (SCSO).

Sequatchie County Emergency Management Director Winfred Smith notified the Red Cross, which will be assisting the family with their immediate needs.
