Cleaning the house

In all my life, I have never seen a Congress that is so anti-president as the current group of Democrat politicians. When the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and took control of several committees that the Republicans had held, the first things out of their mouths were we are going to start investigations into President Trump and find out just what all he has done illegally.

As of this week, March 3rd, the Democrats have started investigations into 81 Trump associates and have asked them to turn over documents or face subpoenas before Congress.

Their intent is to try to find out if Trump and his associates have committed obstruction of justice, corruption, and abuse of power.

If any of the Trump associates have committed any of these charges, then they should be charged. I do remember, however, that Hillary Clinton had over 30,000 government emails on a private server that was erased. It is against the law to have government information on a private server, and also possibly against the law to erase all of the emails. Why did the Democrats not investigate that or appoint a special council to check into this?

I could go on and on about things that the Democrats have done, but I won't. If you have kept up with the news, you know all of the things that have been put on the news.

Talking of the news, what about all of the Fake News outlets? It seems that all three major networks – ABC, NBC, CBS, along with CNN and CNBC, as well as many other news agencies – have not given the President credit for anything that he has done.

Do you remember the first summit with North Korea: “HE’S GOING TO GET US INTO A WAR!” Well that summit didn’t get us into war, but it did stop all the missiles flying from North Korea. I am not saying that everything with that summit was a success, but at least we got to the table and talked, unlike a lot of other presidents.

What bothers me is that there are a lot of things that have been accomplished since Trump was elected president that have either been under-reported or not reported at all.

Some of those facts are:

I would like to tell the Democratic Party that they did lose the presidential election of 2016, so get over it. It’s not enough that you cried because Hillary Clinton lost, but you have tried every way you could to run down President Trump, who by the way WON the election.

As soon as Trump was elected you had a special counsel to investigate President Trump on Russian Collusion. In two years, what have you turned up? Hopefully this will all be over soon and we can go on, but you have other investigations going on.

Oh well, I can’t think of a better way to spend my tax dollars than to hear you whine about everybody who has some type of relation with Trump and what evil they have done.

While I am talking about political parties – I am ashamed of the Republican Party, which had control of both houses of Congress and got very little accomplished. You had too much infighting with one another. All of you thought you had a better plan than the next guy, and you tried to push through legislation that never came through because you were too busy fighting with yourself.

Now, because of all of your fighting and not getting along with each other and some of you fighting Trump, we now have people like Ocasio-Cortez who want America to become a Socialist country so we can steal from the rich and give to the poor. But that is really not how a Socialist country works. Look at Cuba, Venezuela, and other countries that have tried this.

As I have reached my 62 years of age, I have learned that in life anything that is worth having is worth working for. Let’s face it, how many of you that own a home had someone buy it for you or build it for you and give it to you? How many of you have had a new car bought for you? I am not talking about when you were a teenager, either.

The thing of it is that when we work for something and purchase it ourselves we appreciate it more. It is time that Americans (and I am not talking about any foreign national that has come to the U.S. and not gotten U.S. citizenship, I am talking about born in the USA Americans, or those who have come to our country and become U.S. citizens) stand up for our country.

We clean or repair our house because it needs it. Maybe it is time for us to clean and repair our country. Maybe it is time we limited the terms of every politician nationally. I don’t have the answers, but it is time we Americans wake up, before our country is taken away from us right before our eyes. Don’t be blind to what is going on, because you have always voted for a certain party. Wake up and clean the house.
