Chancellor candidate meets with supporters before forum

David Stewart met with supporters at a reception in the Summit Room of Mountain Valley Bank Monday afternoon.

July 9, 2018 – Candidate for Chancery Court judge David Stewart met with supporters at a reception Monday afternoon, July 9, before joining local candidates at a public forum sponsored by the Dunlap-Sequatchie County Chamber of Commerce at the high school.

Stewart is running as an independent to fill the seat left vacant by his father, Jeffrey Stewart, when he resigned in May. His opponent, Missy Blevins, is running on the Republican ticket.

The forum in the auditorium of Sequatchie County High School allowed each candidate for public office to make a three-minute statement, and then answer a question from moderator Marlene Basham.

Candidate for Sequatchie County executive Greg Griffith addresses the audience at Monday's public forum.
